January 2nd, 2017 - Selamat Tahun Baru


2017 is here and we are going to take it head on.  For the next 6 weeks, our 673 community will be embarking on a nutrition CHALLENGE.    This nutrition challenge is centered upon saying no to refined sugar and saying yes to meats, vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, and a little starch.  Each week we will choose 1 category of food that contains sugar...and avoid it.  The following week we will choose another  category of food and build upon week 1.  By the end of 6 weeks, you will be virtually sugar free!  

Here is your FIRST CHALLENGE should you choose to accept it  ... you may not **drink** anything with refined sugar.  All drinks with sugar are OUT!  To educated each other on what drinks have sugar, each class will write 3 new drinks on the white board that we are to avoid and 1 that we are to embrace.  But just to get us started...Milo, Teh Tarik, "ice blended anything" from Coffee Bean..." all these drinks have  sugar and are therefore off the table!

Here is your SECOND CHALLENGE for week 1....do you know someone who is not currently apart of our community, but might benefit from avoiding refined sugar this week?   Invite them along for the challenge!  Let's influence the people around us that we care about to take a positive step towards a healthier lifestyle by saying "do this challenge with me."  Let's take our motto of "stronger together" and extend it beyond the box.
